Located in Cook County, Glencoe, Illinois, is a charming village nestled 7 miles north of Skokie and 19 miles north of Chicago. The area was initially inhabited by the Potawatomi Indians until 1835 when Anson Taylor became the first settler. The village's growth was significantly bolstered by the arrival of the Chicago North Shore and Milwaukee Railroad in 1855. The village was incorporated in 1869 and named Glencoe after the wife of former Chicago mayor Walter S. Gurnee. In 1921, the village adopted its first zoning code, paving the way for its future development.

Glencoe is known for its rich history and vibrant attractions.
