Service Coverage Policy

Introduction

This Policy outlines the services provided by FixHome+, which may include home maintenance, upkeep services, and the maintenance, repair, or replacement of appliances and home systems. This Policy is a part of our Terms of Service, accessible at https://fixhomeplus.com/terms-of-service.

FixHome+ reserves the right to alter this Policy periodically. The modifications will become effective thirty (30) days after they are posted unless they are required to comply with applicable laws or regulations, in which case they will be effective immediately upon posting.

Your FixHome+ membership includes a range of home maintenance and upkeep services. Certain specialty services, such as complex electrical work or window cleaning, necessitate specialized vendors and may incur an additional charge. There is no obligation to purchase any specialty services. Window cleaning is only available in single-family homes of three stories or less.

Home Maintenance Services

As part of your membership with the Service, during any visit, you will have the property check-up and get the list of issues in your property suggestion fixes. Many services are included with your membership at no extra cost, but some may incur an additional fee for specialized labor and materials. The timing of these services will be available in the FixHome+ app, and the offering may change based on customer requests and feedback and is subject to change.
The regular checkup includes the following checkups:

  • Appliance filters quality
  • Air filters quality
  • Water filters quality
  • Dryer vent checkup
  • Electrical Checkup
  • Plumbing Inspections
  • Faucet inspection for leaks
  • Gutters inspection
  • Exterior door checkup
  • And more checkups

You will be billed for consumables, such as air and water filters, batteries, cleaning, and any other supplies.

Handyman Services

As a member of FixHome+, you have access to your neighborhood Handyman. You may message him/her in the FixHome+ app at any time, and you can expect a response within 24 hours. For urgent matters, you can call FixHome+ directly at (224) 308-3348. Most minor handyman work is included in your membership at no extra cost. Since a house is a complex system, it's not possible to detail every service included. For certain, more complex jobs that may require specialized labor, skill, or materials, we may provide you with a quote from a third-party vendor. Materials may be provided by the customer or FixHome+ can supply them and bill you. The following are illustrative examples of the types of labor included.

  • Fixing a broken light switch
  • Installing a smart lock or doorbell
  • Repairing a small wall hole from a broken hook
  • Fixing hardware
  • Replacing the liner at the bottom of the garage door
  • Replacing interior or exterior light bulbs
  • Hanging artwork
  • Mounting a TV 65 inches or less can be completed by one handyman. However, larger screen sizes, require two handymen or enlisting the assistance of a customer.

Customer Service

Messaging services via the FixHome+ app are available at all times, and a response can be expected within 24 hours. For urgent matters, you may choose to contact us via the phone at (224) 308-3348. FixHome+ will dispatch your call to a qualified handyman or service provider and coordinate a mutually convenient appointment time; additional efforts are made in emergency situations. If you should request FixHome+ to perform non-emergency service outside of normal business hours, you may be responsible for payment of additional fees, including overtime charges.
